Myang mChog rab gzho nu was a follower of the Indian mkhan po Bo de sva tva (ms. ITJ 689 l. 2v4). 

Myang mChog rab gzho nu was dge ba'i shes gnyen of bSam yas and 'Phrul snang after Jeng gSal rab rin po che (ms. ITJ 689 l. 2v4). 

Myang mChog rab gzho nu was dge ba'i shes gnyen of bSam yas and 'Phrul snang before Myang gSha' myi go cha (ms. ITJ 689 l. 2v4).

According to Klong chen chos 'byung (XIVth c.), the tradition known as "Myang lugs" has its origins in the teachings transmitted from gNyags Dznyâna ku mâ ra to Nyang mChog rab gzhon nu (see Klong chen rabs 'byams 1991 ed. p. 394, see also The Buddha's Doctrine and the Nine Vehicles: Rog Bande Sherab's Lamp of the Teachings / José Ignacio Cabezón. - Oxford : Oxford University Press, 2013 p. 239).
