Biographical data 

dBa' dPal dbyangs was a disciple of the Indian mkhan po Bo de sva tva (ms. ITJ 689 l. 2v4). 

dBa' dPal byams was also a student (slob ma dge sbyong) of the btsan po Khri Srong lde brtsan (ms. PT 149 l. r8).

dBa' dPal dbyangs became dge ba'i shes gnyen of bSam yas and 'Phrul snang after dBa' Ye shes dbang po (ms. ITJ 689 l. 2v4). 

dBa' dPal dbyangs was the [second Tibetan] dge ba'i shes gnyen of bSam yas and 'Phrul snang (ms. ITJ 689 l. 2v4). 

dBa' dPal byams and Khri Srong lde brtsan travelled to sPa dro dgon pa (ms. PT 149 l. v2). 

dBa' dPal byams was joined by Ngan lam rGyal mchog skyong and sGro snya Ye shes byang chub (ms. PT 149 l. v2-v4). 

After dBa' dPal dbyangs, Ngan lam rGyal mchog dbyangs became the [third Tibetan] dge ba'i shes gnyen of bSam yas and 'Phrul snang (ms. ITJ 689 l. 2v4).
