Biographical data 

Tshes pong sTag bzang snya sto may have been the son or the grandson (bu tsha) of zhang Tshes pong gSas sto (inscr. lCang bu rdo ring l. e2-e3). 

Zhang sNya sto was a devout Buddhist (inscr. lCang bu rdo ring l. s9-s10). 

Zhang Nya sto founded the lCang bu temple and dedicated it to the btsan po Khri gTsug lde brtsan (inscr. lCang bu rdo ring l. s10-s22).

Notes 

According to Ne'u Pandita (XIIIth c.), zhang Chos pong rTag bzang nya lto's elder brother (phu bo) was zhang lHa thog khri and his younger brother (nu bo) was zhang rGya tsha le gong (Ne'u Pandita 2005 ed. p. 28). The latter is also mentioned by dPa' bo gtsug lag 'phreng ba in his copy of the edict of Khri Srong lde brtsan [c. 780 ?] (see Chos 'byung mkhas pa'i dga' ston 2003ed. vol. I p. 372, Dotson 2009 p. 154).
