Biographical data
Rlang Su ga ta go ba is mentioned in a list of Buddhist practioners who achieved nirvâna "without remainder of the aggregates" (phung po lhag pa ma lus pa) including : Lang 'gro dKon mchog 'byung gnas, gNubs Nam kai snying po, dBu na A nang, 'Brom za (lady) Ti pang, and Mar kong za Rin cen (ms. PT 699 2r7-2v1).

According to the Rlangs kyi po ti bse ru, "Su ga ta go cha" had an elder brother called rGyal btsan klu bzher and a younger brother named gSer pa bsam skyes. His father was gSer pa rgyal 'bring shang rdzong and his grand-father was rGyal gzigs ldang lha (Rlangs kyi po ti bse ru 1986 ed. p. 21-22). Su ga ta go cha is thus seen as one of ru dpon Dpal gyi seng ge's first cousin.
