lHo Don dam was a contemporary of Bran ka Yon tan and 'Bro Phri gzu' dam shags (sic. see inscr. lDan ma brag II l. 7).

Curiously, lHo Don dam is listed as one of the rtsal po che mi bdun of the time of Khri 'Dus srong according to the XVth c. rGya bod yig tsang (in dPal 'byor bzang po 2007ed.p. 107-108, "lho don dam yang dag 'phags kyis / seng ldeng gi gdung chen po bcu gsum gyi steng du / gong dza la lcags dos gcig rgyab nas khur byung skad"). Other similar lists do not include lHo Don dam (see Lists of Characters from later Histories and gTer ma).
