Biographical data

'Bro Cung bzang 'or mang became blon chen (Great Minister) after the disgrace of dBa's sTag sgra khong lod in Dragon year [728] (ms. PT 1287 l. 111-112, ITJ 0750 l. 249-250).

During his office he mostly took care of various administrative tasks such as gathering councils almost every year from Dragon year [728] to Bird year [734]. He fought the Turks (dru gu) in Snake year [729], went to 'A zha country in Hog year [735] and then disappeared from the "Old Tibetan Annals" for a few years. In Sheep  year [743] 'Bro Cung bzang 'or mang resumed his activities until at least Hog year [747] (ms. PT 1288-ITJ 750 l. 249-304, Or 8112 l. 1-8).

In Monkey year [744]  the blon che 'Bro Cung bzang 'or mang gathered the winter council with 'Bal sKyes bzang ldong tsab in sKyi (ms. PT 1288-ITJ 750 l. 298,  Or 8212.187 l. 3).

In Dog year [746] the blon che 'Bro Cung bzang 'or mang gathered the winter council with 'Bal sKyes bzang ldong tsab and Lang Myes zigs in sKyi (ms. PT 1288-ITJ 750 l. 303-304, Or 8212.187 l. 8). 

In Hog year [747] the blon che 'Bro Cung bzang 'or mang gathered the winter council with 'Bal sKyes bzang ldong tsab, blon Mang pho rjezhang 'Bring rtsan, and others (ms. Or 8212.187 l. 10-11).

After 'Bro Cung bzang 'or mang, 'Bal sKyes bzang ldong tsab became blon che (Great Minister) (ms. PT 1287 l. 112-113).

Notes

According to mKhas pa lDe'u (XIIIth c.) "'Gro Cung za 'or ma" was minister during twenty years (rGya bod kyi chos 'byung rgyas pa 2010 ed. p. 285).
