In childhood, Ngar la skyes questioned his mother about his lord and his father (ms. PT 1287 l. 28-32)

Ngar la skye's mother informed him that:
- his [bKrags (?)] father was killed by rHya (ms. PT 1287 l. 32)
- his lord was the [legitimate] king [Dri gum btsan po] killed by Lo ngam (ms. PT 1287 l. 32)
- Dri gum's corpse was kept by the [female water spirit] klu 'O de ring mo (ms. PT 1287 l. 32-33)
- Dri gum's sons, Sha khyi and Nya khyi, were exiled in rKong yul (ms. PT 1287 l. 33-34)

Ngar la skye met Sha khyi and Nya khyi in rKong yul (ms. PT 1287 l. 36)

Ngar la skye met the klu O de bed de ring mo (ms. PT 1287 l. 36)

The klu 'O de bed de ring mo asked for a man with avian eyes as a ransom for Dri gum's corpse
(ms. PT 1287 l. 36-38).

Ngar la skye left to look for the ransom but was at first unable to find it and returned to his mother (ms. PT 1287 l. 38-39)

Ngar la skye left his mother to resume his quest, he found a [human-bird hybrid (?)] girl and her child with avian eyes (ms. PT 1287 l. 43-44).

The girl accepted to give  her child to Ngar la skye, on the condition that he would celebrate the death of kings by performing funeral rituals (ms. PT 1287 l. 45-47).

Ngar la skye swore to preform funeral rituals (ms. PT 1287 l. 47)

Ngar la skye led the girl, the ransom was given to the klu 'O de [bed de] ring mo and Dri gum's corpse was released (ms. PT 1287 l. 48-49).
