Notes

mKhar pa seems to be the name of either a family or an individual in pre-imperial Tibet.

- mKhar pa was lord of dBye / dByes in dBye mo yul dug / dBye mo yul drug (ms. PT 1060 l. 78,  PT 1285 l. r26).

- mKhar pa was lord of dByes in dBye mo yul bzhi, he had two ministers : dBo and rTug (ms. PT 1286 l. 12).

- Khar ba was lord of dBye in dBye mo yul drug ku, he had two ministers : Gro and rMe'u (ms. PT 1039 l. 8).

- dBye rje mkhar pa is also linked to [the ministers (?)] Pho gum and Phog rol (ms. PT 1060 l. 78) elsewhere mentioned as ministers of Dags rgyal gyi sprog zin (ms. PT 1286 l. 18-19, PT 1039 l. 12-13.

- mKhar pa was minister of rKong rje dkar po / rKong rje'i dkar po (ms. PT 1060 l. 88-89, PT 1286 l. 17).

Linked to the mKhar chen (i. e. Ye shes mtsho rgyal's) family mentioned by later historians ? (such as Nyang ral nyi ma 'od zer's Chos 'byung me tog snying po sbrang rtsi'i bcud, p. 402).
