Ru la skyes was a son of lha deity (ms. PT 1287 l. 26).

Together with his own paternal relatives (pha tsan), Ru la skes fought the "paternal relatives of rHya" but the lineage of bKrags was broken by rHya (ms. PT 1287 l. 26-27).

Titles

lha bu (ms. Pelliot Tibétain 1287 l. 26).

Notes

The epithet lha bu seems to indicate a divine origin but a lower social status than the lha sras attributed to the btsan po.

According to the lDe'u chos 'byung, among other later chronicles, "Ru la skyes" was renamed khu Khu lHa bu smon zungs and was the father of "Khu lHa bu mgon dkar" (and was thus a mythical ancestor to the Khu family, see lDe'u jo sras, lDe'u chos 'byung, 1987 ed. p. 163, also lHa bu mgo dkar son of the blon po Ru la skyes in dPal 'byor bzang po's rGya bod yig tshang p. 88).

According to Blon po bka' thang ch. 3, the first blon po was "lHa'i smon gzugs", son of Sham po, and father of lHa yi 'od dkar..." (in bKa' thang sde lnga 2011 ed. p. 338-339).
