Khu sMon to re phangs tshab was a minister of Srong brtsan sgam po (ms. PT 1287 l. 277). 

Together with Khu Khri do re smyang zung, gNubs sNya do re gtsug blon, rNgegs rGyal 'bring lan ton, Tshes pong Khri btsan khong sto, and 'O ma lde Khri bzang lod btsan, Khu sMon to re phangs tshab swore in the exchange of oaths between dBa's Phang to re dbyi tshab and Srong brtsan sgam po (ms. PT 1287 l. 275-278).
